Liezel de Jager has been applying the art of permanent makeup since 2007. Her goal has always been to provide her clients with the highest quality permanent makeup possible. She has mastered the art of enhancing her clients features like the eyes and eyebrows in a very natural way.

In addition to being known as an exceptional permanent makeup artist that specialize in Eyeliner (top and bottom) and Eyebrow shading and shaping, Liezel also specializes in the field of Areola Pigmentation Tattooing for breast cancer patients following breast reconstruction.

The Embroidery / Hand Technique

Many permanent makeup artists use a machine or tattoo gun to apply permanent make-up. This machine technique often involves discomfort, is less precise, needs more touch up procedures and provides less flexibility in customizing makeup. Liezel utilizes the "hand" or embroidery technique for applying cosmetic permanent makeup.

The embroidery technique is far more exact, very gentle and less invasive than the rotary/ machine technique. Permanent make-up applied by a machine also tends to be much heavier and obvious in appearance, whereas the embroidery / hand technique is much more natural and subtle in appearance, yet effective to enhance the natural features.

Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup is a process where color is permanently inserted into the dermal layer of the skin using fine needles dipped in hypo-allergenic pigment (anorganic pigment). Pigments are derived from vegetable products and are either pre-mixed or mixed manually crating a broad palette from which to choose. The pigment bonds to the skin cells and is visible through the translucent outer layer.

It is the answer to many people’s psychological problems regarding their eyebrows & eyeliners.

Who benefits from Permanent makeup?

Everyone! From the young to the elderly, who desire a soft, natural enhancement to their appearances. It is especially beneficial to people who can't wear cosmetics due to allergies, skin and eye sensitivities.

Older ladies without eyebrows or with sparse or droopy eyebrows etc. Active people who want to look their best for activities such as swimming, hiking, tennis, aerobics, and those who don't want to worry about sweating off or reapplying cosmetics. Also the visually impaired who have difficulty applying their cosmetics.

Is Permanent makeup painful?

Most people experience some discomfort. This may vary according to each individual's pain threshold. Different methods are available to help with pain management, including various topical anesthetic ointments, anesthetic locals and nerve blocks. It is not at all the same kind of pain like a tattoo.

Permanent Eyeliner

Defines and accentuates eyes. It makes lashes appear thicker and denser.

Eyebrow Shading

Eyebrows that are naturally too light, too thin, sparse or non existent can be beautifully enhanced and improved with micro pigmentation.

Is Permanent makeup safe?

All needles are new and sterile for each client. All machine parts are sterilized and kept in a sanitary way. New gloves are used for each client.

What colours can be created?

Over 20 colors to choose from, and any blending of any colour. With the therapist's experience and permanent makeup background, she can blend any colour for you, e.g. black, light brown, dark brown, blue black, violet, grey, blue, green, etc.

How long is the procedure?

The time varies with the area being treated. Eyebrows approximately 1˝ hours, Eyeliner 1˝ hours and Areola pigmentation 1 hour to 1˝ hours.
